Under the authority of section 9 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Donna Ballard as Deputy Minister of the Department of Children, Seniors and Social Development, in addition to her duties as Deputy Minister of the Women’s Policy Office, within Executive Council, effective September 30, 2017, with salary at Step 25 of the 2328 Point Scale, with normal step progressions and general salary increases applicable to Executive to apply, with benefits to include payment of practice fees in the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador, and with a position description to be forwarded by Ms. Ballard to the Human Resource Secretariat for classification within one year of the date of her appointment, the outcome of which is to place her, retroactive to September 5, 2017, at the salary step that is closest to, without being less than, the salary to which she has been appointed herein.
