Under the authority of section 9 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Michael Delaney, as the Assistant Deputy Minister (Regulatory Affairs), in the Department of Service Newfoundland and Labrador, on an acting basis, effective February 1, 2019, with salary at Step 16 on the 1450 Point Scale of the Executive Compensation Plan, with normal step progressions and general salary increases applicable to Executive to apply, and with a position description to be forwarded to the Human Resource Secretariat for classification within one year of the date of his appointment, the outcome of which is to place him, retroactive to February 1, 2019, at the salary step that is closest to, without being less than, the salary to which he has been appointed herein. Further to the direction provided in OC2012-295 and under the authority of section 6 of the Pension Benefits Act, 1997, Mr. Delaney is to continue in his role as Superintendent of Pensions until a new Director of Pension Benefits Standards in the Department of Service Newfoundland and Labrador is appointed.
