Under the authority of section 9 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Alan Doody as Assistant Deputy Minister (Government Services), with responsibility for the proper conduct of the Occupational Health and Safety Act in accordance with paragraph 2(a) of that Act, in the Department of Service Newfoundland and Labrador, on an acting basis, effective February 1, 2019, at his current salary and Point Scale of the Executive Compensation Plan, with normal step progressions and general salary increases applicable to Executive to apply, and with a position description to be forwarded to the Human Resource Secretariat for classification within one year of his date of appointment, the outcome of which is to place him, retroactive to February 1, 2019, at the salary step that is closest to, without being less than, the salary at which he has been appointed herein.
