Under the authority of section 4 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to move that His Honour the Lieutenant Governor by Commission under the Great Seal of the Province, appoint the Honourable Tom Rideout as the Government House Leader, in addition to his responsibilities as Deputy Premier, Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Minister Responsible for Aboriginal Affairs, and Acting Minister of Justice and Attorney General, with effect from January 9, 2007.
