Under the authority of section 9 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Ms. Deborah J. Paquette, Q.C. as Assistant Deputy Minister – Civil Law in the Department of Justice, effective February 9, 2007, with salary at Step 33 of the 1610 Point Scale of the Executive Compensation Plan in accordance with the Executive Compensation Plan Policies and Procedures approved by MC91-0016, with benefits to include payment of practice fees in the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador, with a position description to be forwarded to the Public Service Secretariat for classification, the outcome of which will not negatively impact Ms. Paquette’s current salary, and with any salary increase on the basis of the classification process to be effective February 9, 2007, where applicable.
