Automobile Insurance Act
Under the authority of section 61 of the Automobile Insurance Act and section 3.1(8) of the Insurance Companies Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize in all future appointments of the consumer advocate under the Automobile Insurance Act and the Insurance Companies Act, a term and condition of the appointment shall be that the consumer advocate prepare and file a report with the Minister of Government Services, in a form satisfactory to the Minister, outlining the details of the expenses incurred and the work performed within 45 days after the date of the order of the Public Utilities Board or order of the court upon appeal of the Public Utilities Board order or report of the Public Utilities Board following a review. The Minister of Government Services shall then submit such report to the House of Assembly within 15 days of receipt if the House is sitting or if the House is not sitting, within 15 days of the opening of the House.
