Under the authority of section 12 of the Forestry Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize the Minister of Natural Resources to acquire for the Crown the timber cutting rights held by Corner Brook Pulp and Paper Limited on selected areas of Forest Management Districts 9, 15 and 16, along the lines of the draft Timber Transfer Agreements between the Crown and Corner Brook Pulp and Paper Limited, attached at Annexes V, VI, VII and VIII of the Minister’s Submission on file with the Clerk of the Executive Council, with these agreements subject to amendment in the future to reflect anticipated changes to the regulations under the Forestry Act, specifically as it relates to the flow of wood.
