Under the authority of section 4(3) of the Student Financial Assistance Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize the Minister of Education to sign an amendment to “The Agreement Regarding Student Loans” dated September 1, 1994 between the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and the Province, or enter into a new agreement with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce further to the change in legislation to implement the 2007 Budget decisions, subject to the approval of the Minister of Finance if costing is higher than budgeted, with the final agreement to be filed with the Clerk of the Executive Council.
