Under the authority of section 28(2) of the Financial Administration Act, and on the report of the Minister of Finance that there is insufficient legislative provision and that no other countervailing savings are available, and on the report of the Attorney General that the necessity is urgent, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to approve, on the recommendation in writing of Treasury Board, the preparation of a Special Warrant for the signature of His Honour the Lieutenant Governor, in the amount of $563,600 within the Vote of the Legislature to provide funding for unanticipated costs related to (1) Special Ballots and (2) Poll Division size for the October 2007 General Election, allocated as follows:

Subdivision 3.1.01.01  Office of the Chief Electoral Officer – Salaries           $490,500

Subdivision 3.1.01.04  Office of the Chief Electoral Officer – Supplies          $5,800

Subdivision 3.1.01.06  Office of the Chief Electoral Officer

             – Purchased Services                                                                         $31,200

Subdivision 3.1.01.07  Office of the Chief Electoral Officer

    – Property, Furnishings and Equipment                                                      $36,100
