Under the authority of section 3 of the Works, Services and Transportation Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize that the section of former highway reservation along the south side of Powell Drive in Carbonear, across from the London Road intersection and fronting the Slade’s Memorial Services Limited facility, measuring 673.9 square metres and as outlined and described in the survey plan and description attached in Annex “B” of the Minister’s Submission, be closed permanently and the Minister of Transportation and Works is authorized to convey its title permanently to the Town of Carbonear for the nominal amount of $1.00.
