Under the authority of section 9 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Ms. Cathy Duke as the Acting Deputy Minister of the Department of Business, in addition to her responsibilities as the Deputy Minister of the Department of Innovation, Trade and Rural Development, effective January 2, 2008 until the appointment of a permanent incumbent, with no change in salary as a result of this additional assignment.
