Under the authority of section 7 of the Economic Diversification and Growth Enterprises Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council hereby authorizes the Minister of Innovation, Trade and Rural Development, upon the recommendation of the EDGE Board, to provide Canada’s Original Iceberg Water Corp. with written correspondence, advising the companythat a one-year extension has been approved, with a second-year extension, if necessary, to be considered and granted by the Minister of Innovation, Trade and Rural Development based on circumstances at that time, to the following terms and conditions to which Cabinet had previously agreed (OC2005-603 refers) and as the company was advised on December 5, 2005: (1) Canada’s Original Iceberg Water Corp. acquiring, and confirming to the Minister’s satisfaction project financing and moving forward with the project as outlined in their business plan; (2) agreeing and formally acknowledging that EDGE Status will apply to export sales only; and (3) presenting a plan that is satisfactory to the Minister of Innovation, Trade and Rural Development, outlining how its local activities will be separated from export activities, for EDGE monitoring purposes.
