Under the authority of section 6 of the Elections Act, 1991, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Charles J. Furey to act as the Chief Electoral Officer in a temporary capacity, effective May 1, 2006 until such time as the Office is filled by a resolution of the House of Assembly, and in accordance with the terms and conditions of a contract between the Speaker of the House of Assembly and Mr. Furey, a copy of which is to be filed with the Clerk of the Executive Council.
