Under the authority of section 117 of the Public Utilities Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Mr. Thomas Johnson to represent the interests of domestic and general service consumers on terms acceptable to the Minister of Justice, after consultation with the Public Utilities Board, for the purposes of a hearing to deal with an application by Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro for approval of changes in the rates to be charged for the supply of power and energy to its customers, and changes in the rules and regulations applicable to the supply of electricity to its customers as well as other matters. In accordance with the Public Utilities Act, all costs will be borne initially by the Public Utilities Board and subsequently assessed to Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro.
