Under the authority of section 9 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Mr. Brian Burke as Assistant Deputy Minister (Oceans and Arctic Opportunities) in the Department of Innovation, Business and Rural Development, effective May 5, 2014, with salary at Step 19 on the 1450 Point Scale of the Executive Compensation Plan Policies and Procedures, with normal step progressions and general salary increases applicable to Executive to apply, and with a position description to be forwarded to the Human Resource Secretariat for classification within one year of his date of appointment, the outcome of which is to place him, retroactive to May 5, 2014, at the salary step that is closest to, without being less than, the salary at which he has been appointed herein.
