Under the authority of section 9 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to:

 i)  appoint Wayne Penney as Acting Deputy Minister of the Department of Human Resources, Labour and Employment, effective March 17, 2006 to the date of return of Ms. Rebecca Roome;

ii)  with Mr. Penney’s salary to be determined in accordance with the Executive Compensation Plan Policies and Procedures approved by MC91-0016; and

iii)  for Mr. Penney’s salary increase to be effective January 24, 2006 until further direction of the Clerk of the Executive Council, in recognition of the long-term delegation of duties while Ms. Rebecca Roome is recovering from surgery.
