Under the authority of section 26(4) of the Financial Administration Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize the Department of Transportation and Works to pre-commit funds of $565,000 and $580,000 against its budgetary appropriations in fiscal years 2007-08 and 2008-09 respectively to facilitate the awarding of the three year contract for the Southern Labrador Ferry Service to Norman Bay and Williams Harbour.
