Orders in Council Database

Under the authority of section 10 of the Rooms Act and paragraph 9(2)(b) of the Independent Appointments Commission Act and after consultation with the Board of Directors, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council hereby:
a)       appoints Anne Chafe as Chief Executive Officer of The Rooms Corporation of Newfoundland and Labrador on an interim basis, effective July 12, 2019, with salary at Step 7 on the 2136 Point Scale, with a salary differential to apply of 1% above the highest paid subordinate until such time as, through normal step progressions, general salary increases, or otherwise, Ms. Chafe’s salary is greater than the salary of the highest paid subordinate, with normal step progressions and general salary increases applicable to Executive to apply, and subject to the terms and conditions of employment on file with the Clerk of the Executive Council, until such time as the position is filled in accordance with the Independent Appointments Commission Act; and
b)       revokes OC2005-006, effective July 12, 2019.
