Under the authority of sections 10 and 11 of the Executive Council Act and section 7 of the Intergovernmental Affairs Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize the President of Treasury Board and the Minister for Intergovernmental Affairs to sign the “Canada/Newfoundland and Labrador Agreement on French Language Services” in the place of the former “Canada/Newfoundland and Labrador General Agreement on the Promotion of Official Languages.”
