Under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to transfer administration of the Mines Rescue Training Program from the Occupational Health and Safety Branch of the Department of Government Services to the Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission effective the date of publication of amendments to the Mines Safety of Workers Regulations in the Newfoundland and Labrador Gazette.
