Under the authority of section 4(4) of the Supply Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to authorize the transfer $175,000 from the Contingency Reserve to the Department of Development and Rural Renewal, to be assigned to local organizations to assist them with preparation of proposals to Government for development of the railbed and to provide funding to permit upgrading of structures and the railbed where necessary, subject to the Department reporting back to Treasury Board on the overall development of the former C.N. Branch Lines.
