Under the authority of section 9 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Ms. Janice Barnes as Executive Director within the Office of Labrador and Aboriginal Affairs (Executive Council), effective May 6, 2014, at her current salary, with normal step progressions and general salary increases applicable to Executive to apply, and with a position description to be forwarded by Ms. Barnes to the Human Resource Secretariat for classification within one year of the date of her appointment, the outcome of which is to place her, retroactive to May 6, 2014, at the salary step that is closest to, without being less than, the salary to which she has been appointed herein.
