Under the authority of section 25 of the Energy Corporation Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize the Minister of Finance, in respect of the compensation of Fortis and related lenders regarding the expropriation of their interest in the Exploits River Hydro Partnership, to execute and deliver a guarantee to lenders in respect of the Framework Agreement and, upon the execution of the Loan Agreement by Nalcor Energy, to execute and deliver a guarantee with respect to the Loan Agreement.
