Under the authority of section 12 of the Forestry Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize the Minister of Natural Resources to acquire for the Crown the timber cutting rights on all of the lands held by Abitibi Consolidated Company of Canada in Forest Management District 8, substantially along the lines of the draft Timber Transfer Agreement between the Crown and Abitibi Consolidated Company of Canada and the description of land in Schedule A of that draft Agreement, which is attached at Annex 3 of the Minister’s Submission on file with the Clerk of the Executive Council.
