Under the authority of subsection 4(2) and paragraph 7(2)(a) of the Lands Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize the Minister of Environment and Conservation to issue a grant of Crown Land to Vale Inco Newfoundland and Labrador Limited  for an area not to exceed 1,600 hectares, located at Long Harbour, in the Electoral District of Placentia – St. Mary’s, for the purpose of the construction and operation of a hydromet nickel processing facility  subject to the terms and conditions normally applicable for the issuance of such grants.
