Under the authority of section 26(4) of the Financial Administration Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize the Department of Municipal Affairs to pre-commit a further $3,300 in 2010-2011 and $1,650 in 2011-12 against its budgetary appropriations for the purpose of compensating the Town of Buchans for the loss of grants in lieu of revenue formerly received from American Smelting and Refining Company and Abitibi Consolidated bringing the total amount of  funds being pre-committed for the purpose of this initiative to $686,000 in 2010-11 and $343,150 in 2011-12.
