Under the authority of section 9 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to second Darrin Pike from the position of Chief Executive Officer/Director of Education in the Eastern School District to the position of  Deputy Minister of the Department of Education effective April 8, 2009, with salary at Step 24 of the 2328 Point Scale on the Executive Compensation Plan, with Mr. Pike remaining on the payroll of the Eastern School District and with the District to be reimbursed on a regular basis for Mr. Pike’s salary.
