Under the authority of sections 10 and 11 of the Executive Council Act and section 7 of the Intergovernmental Affairs Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize the Minister Responsible for the Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation and the Minister for Intergovernmental Affairs to enter into agreements with Canada and Mortgage and Housing Corporation for the following:

  i)  an extension of the Affordable Housing Phase 2 program for an additional two (2) years;

 ii)  an extension of the Provincial Home Repair Program for an additional two (2) years;

iii)  a new Renovation and Retrofit Program of Social Housing for $42.4 M over a two-year period to be cost shared on a 50/50 basis;

iv)  a new Affordable Housing Program for Seniors for a total of $12.8 M over a two-year period to be cost shared on a 50/50 basis; and

v)  a new Affordable Housing Program for persons with disabilities for a total of $2.4 M over a two-year period to be cost shared on a 50/50 basis.
