Under the authority of sections 72 and 73 of the Environmental Protection Act and section 7 of the Intergovernmental Affairs Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize the Minister of Environment and Conservation and the Minister for Intergovernmental Affairs to sign an amendment to the “Agreement Concerning The Establishment of a Joint Review Panel for the Environmental Assessment of the Lower Churchill Hydroelectric Generation Project,” with the Government of Canada, which extends the public comment period for an additional 30 days beyond the current 75 day comment period for the Innu Nation, the Nunatsiavut Government and the Labrador Métis Nation.
