Under the authority of section 26(4) of the Financial Administration Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize the Department of Health and Community Services to pre-commit funds totalling $3,260,000 against 2009/10 budgetary appropriations to facilitate the award of contract for the needs assessment, facility programming, and pre-design consulting services for a new hospital in Corner Brook, inclusive of $460,000 to set up a Project Office in Corner Brook required for the delivery of the project and $250,000 for two Project Coordinators engaged by Western Health to facilitate the project.
