Under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to restructure and reconstitute the Department of Health and Community Services, effective April 9, 2009, consisting of all of those functions formerly within the Department of  Health and Community Services except for the Child, Youth and Family Services functions and associated legislation assigned to the Department of Child, Youth and Family Services as outlined in OC2009-111.
