Orders in Council Database

Under the authority of section 8 of the Interpretation Act and sections 6, 7 and 9 of the Research and Development Council Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to appoint the following individuals to serve as Directors of the Research & Development Corporation of Newfoundland and Labrador, for the term noted, effective from a current date: 

i) Ms. M. Jacqueline Sheppard, Chair, a member from the private sector and resident of Alberta, for a two-year term;

ii) Dr. Lawrence Cochrane, Vice-Chair, a member from the private sector and resident of Ontario, for a two-year term;

iii) Mr. Alan Brown, Director, a member from the private sector, for a three year term;

iv) Mr. Gary Dinn, Director, an active researcher and member of the private sector, for a two-year term;

v) Dr. Ray Gosine, Director, an employee of a publicly-funded post-secondary institution in the province and active researcher, for a two-year term;

vi) Dr. Terry-Lynn Young, Director, an active researcher, for a one year term; and

vii)Dr. Kari Kveseth, Director, a resident of Norway, for a three-year term.
