Under the authority of section 9 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Mr. Mike Samson as Deputy Minister tasked with the responsibility for setting up and then heading a new emergency management agency which will report to the Minister of Municipal Affairs with Responsibility for Emergency Preparedness.  Mr. Samson’s appointment is effective December 18, 2006 at his current salary and point scale on the Executive Compensation Plan.
