Public Utilities Act
Under the authority of section 117 of the Public Utilities Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Thomas Johnson, effective June 6, 2006, as the Consumer Advocate to represent the interests of domestic and general service consumers on terms acceptable to the Minister of Justice, after consultation with the Board of Commissioners of Public Utilities, with all costs borne initially by the Board and subsequently assessed to Newfoundland Power Inc., for the purposes of participating in the following applications of Newfoundland Power Inc.:
i) approval of its 2007 Capital Budget in the amount of $62,166,000; and fixing and determining its average rate base for 2005 in the amount of $745,446,000; and
ii) intended 2006 General Rate Application.
