Public Utilities Act and Independent Appointments Act
Under the authority of section 117 of the Public Utilities Act and paragraph 9(2)(a) of the Independent Appointments Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to reappoint Dennis Browne, Q.C. as Consumer Advocate, effective October 6, 2019, for a one-year term, on terms and conditions, substantially along the lines as on file with the Clerk of the Executive Council, to represent the interests of domestic and general service electricity consumers, for the purposes of participation in:
1) any existing or future applications or hearings before the Public Utilities Board; and,
2) any other general matters in which the Public Utilities Board may engage the Consumer Advocate arising outside the application or hearing process.
