Works, Services and Transportation Act
Under the authority of section 3 of the Works, Services and TransportationAct, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to order:
i) the remnants of the reservation of the old North West River Road located within the proposed boundaries of the Reserve for the Sheshatshiu Innu First Nation, to the reservation limit of fifteen (15) meters from the centre line of the existing North West River Road, Route 520, are hereby closed permanently and administration and control of the remnant parcels of land are hereby transferred forever to the Minister of Environment and Conservation; and
ii) all existing public highways and roads within the proposed boundaries of the Reserve for the Sheshatshiu Innu First Nation are hereby closed permanently as highways and roads as defined under the aforesaid provincial statute and administration and control of the highways and roads are hereby transferred forever to the Minister of Environment and Conservation; and
iii) the sections of the existing public highways and roads crossing or located within the Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro Corporation sub-transmission line corridor and the North West Point Snowmobile Portage corridor, which corridors are excluded from the boundaries of the Reserve for the Sheshatshiu Innu First Nation, are also hereby closed permanently as highways and roads defined under the aforesaid provincial statute and administration and control of the sections of highways and roads are hereby transferred forever to the Minister of Environment and Conservation.
