Under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to create the Forestry and Agrifoods Agency as a division within the Department of Natural Resources, effective from a current date, comprising all of those functions formerly within the Forest Management branch (renamed Forestry Services branch) and the Agrifoods Development branch of the Department of Natural Resources.  The Forestry and Agrifoods Agency, led by a Chief Executive Officer with direct reporting responsibilities to the Minister of Natural Resources, will consist of two branches as follows:

i)  Forestry Services; and

ii)  Agrifoods Development.
