Public Utilities Act
Under the authority of section 117 of the Public Utilities Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Mr. Thomas Johnson to represent the interests of domestic and general service consumers on terms acceptable to the Minister of Justice, after consultation with the Board of Commissioners of Public Utilities, for the purposes of participating in a hearing into the following application of Newfoundland Power Inc.:
i) Amortize $2.714 million of 2005 unbilled revenue as revenue for regulatory purposes in 2007;
ii) Defer recovery until a further order of the Board of $5.793 million in 2007 related to the conclusion of a Depreciation True –Up in 2005; and
iii) Defer recovery until a further order of the Board of the net impact of 1.147 million in respect of a forecast of a 2007 replacement energy cost.
In accordance with the Public Utilities Act, all costs will be borne initially by the Board and subsequently assessed to Newfoundland Power Inc. if deemed appropriate.
