Under the authority of section 67(5) of the Environmental Protection Act, where the Lieutenant Governor in Council is of the opinion that it is in the public interest to do so, the Lieutenant Governor in Council hereby halts further environmental assessment of the undertaking registered on September 18, 2006, by NF Fur Farm Enterprises Inc. proposing a mink farm near Windsor Heights at the Former Swine Breeding Station in the Town of Portugal Cove - St. Phillips and directs that the said undertaking not proceed.
