Under the authority of section 399 of the Municipalities Act, 1999, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to designate road maintenance and snow clearing as discretionary service delivery jurisdictions of Local Service Districts, recognizing that no decision is being made at this time to require Local Service Districts to assume responsibility for roads presently maintained by the Provincial Government.
