Orders in Council Database

Under the authority of section 72 of the Environmental Protection Act and section 7 of the Intergovernmental Affairs Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize the Minister of Environment and Conservation and the Premier as Minister Responsible for Intergovernmental Affairs,  subject to public consultations, to enter into a bilateral agreement, a draft of which is attached at Annex A of the Minister’s submission on file with the Clerk of the Executive Council, on environmental assessment with the federal government that will provide a means of integrating requirements under both the Environmental Protection Act and the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act into a single and coordinated review process.
