Under the authority of section 9 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, to appoint Scott Jones as Assistant Deputy Minister, Regulatory Affairs of the Department of Service Newfoundland and Labrador, in an acting capacity, effective November 18, 2019, with salary at Step 17 on the 1450 Point Scale on the Executive Compensation Plan, with normal step progressions and general salary increases applicable to Executive to apply, and with a position description to be forwarded to the Human Resource Secretariat for classification within one year of the date of his appointment, the outcome of which is to place him, retroactive to November 18, 2019, at the salary step that is closest to, without being less than, the salary to which he has been appointed herein.
