Under the authority of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to restructure Executive Council through the creation of the Public Service Secretariat within Executive Council, reporting to the Minister of Finance and President of Treasury Board, effective May 16, 2005, which will consist of the following functions previously within the branch of Treasury Board Secretariat entitled Strategic Human Resource Management, specifically: Collective Bargaining; Classification, Organization and Management; Human Resource Policy and Planning; and Human Resource Development and Services, including the Centre for Learning and Development, Employment Equity and Strategic Initiatives, French Services and Human Resource Services. The new Public Service Secretariat has one branch as follows:

i) Strategic Human Resource Management, to be led by an Assistant Deputy Minister.
