Orders in Council Database

Under the authority of the Prerogative of the Crown and further to the Budget 2005 decision to no longer finance the Province’s share of municipal capital projects through the Newfoundland and Labrador Municipal Financing Corporation commencing in 2005-2006, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to delete the wording following Item 1 in every Order in Council issued after March 31, 2005 pursuant to the original Cabinet direction in MC2004-0362 and MC2002-0256R, and to substitute the following wording:  “2.  The said loan for the amount referred to in Item 1, plus accrued interest, is to be repaid on a date to be designated by the Honourable Minister of Municipal and Provincial Affairs, out of the Budget provision of the Department.”
