Under the authority of section 26(4) of the Financial Administration Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize the Department of Transportation and Works to pre-commit funds of $2,000,000, $2,060,000 and $80,000 against its budgetary appropriations for 2006-07, 2007-08 and 2008-09 respectively, for the purpose of a contract extension to Labrador Marine Inc. for the operation of the M.V. Northern Ranger on the North Labrador Coast Passenger and Freight Service.
