Under the authority of section 5 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, effective from a current date, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to rename the Department of Municipal and Provincial Affairs as the Department of Municipal Affairs, while continuing to vest in the department all of its existing responsibilities.
