Orders in Council Database

Under the authority of section 7 of the Economic Diversification and Growth Enterprises Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to designate Canada Ice Enterprises Inc, St. Anthony and Canada’s Original Iceberg Water Corp, Heart’s Content/Heart’s Desire as EDGE companies to be eligible to receive benefits under the EDGE program, subject to compliance with all of the following conditions within one year from the date of written correspondence to each of the companies from the Minister of Innovation, Trade and Rural Development:

  i)  the companies acquiring financing and moving forward with their respective projects;

  ii)  the companies agreeing and formally acknowledging that EDGE status will apply to export sales only; and

iii)  the companies presenting plans that are satisfactory to the Minister of Innovation, Trade and Rural Development, outlining how local activities will be separated from export activities, for EDGE monitoring purposes.
