Under the authority of section 6 of the Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to approve the appointment, by the Board of Directors of the Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission, of Joe O’Neill as Acting full-time Chief Executive Officer of the Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission, effective June 6, 2005, with a contract to be negotiated by Mr. O’Neill with the Commission subject to the approval of the Lieutenant-Governor in Council.  Mr. O’Neill will be on a leave of absence from his position as Chief Executive Officer with the Labour Relations Agency for the period of his appointment with the Commission.
