Under the authority of sections 10 and 11 of the Executive Council Act and section 7 of the Intergovernmental Affairs Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize the Minister of Environment and Conservation, the Minister of Natural Resources, and the Premier, as Minister for Intergovernmental Affairs, to enter into the “Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation on Addressing Climate Change”, substantially along the lines of the draft copy on file with the Clerk of the Executive Council, subject to a satisfactory French language audit of the agreement being completed at the Departments’ cost and reviewed by the Department of Justice and the Intergovernmental Affairs Secretariat prior to finalization of the Memorandum of Understanding.
