Under the authority of sections 3(p) and 4(1)(g) of the Expropriation Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize the Minister of Transportation and Works to expropriate any properties in the Colony of Avalon site for the purposes of continuing or expanding the archaeological dig or to facilitate the designation of the site as a provincial historic site.
